Participating Churches

Presbyterian Church USABaltimore Dakota Learning Camps is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing educational enrichment opportunities for children in the church communities within the Dakota Presbytery. The Dakota Presbytery is the only non-geographic presbytery in the Presbyterian Church USA. The Dakota Presbytery churches are located in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.

While Baltimore Dakota Learning Camps are primarily staffed by individuals from churches in the Presbytery of Baltimore, we welcome anyone who wants to volunteer. The camp staff represents a diverse inter-generational and multicultural group including high school and college students, and professionals including teachers, social workers, and health care workers. Previous years’ staff have included individuals from over twenty Baltimore-area Presbyterian churches.

As Baltimore Dakota Learning Camps has grown, individuals from other churches and organizations have joined to assist in providing the learning camps. In addition to the staff from Maryland, staff has included individuals from Connecticut, Florida, Germany, New York, and Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
